The Dermasweep system provides a state-of-the-art skin resurfacing treatment that combines microdermabrasion with Epi-Infusion -- simultaneously delivering specialized topical solutions to repair and heal the skin. This technique can provide facial rejuvenation for all skin types -- as well as relief and repair for a variety of skin conditions such as acne, dehydration, uneven skin tone, sun damage, and surgical scars.
The Dermasweep wand uses an assortment of treatment tips to gently lift and remove the topmost surface layer of the skin; then vacuuming away the dead skin, the treatment stimulates blood flow, cleans the pores and encourages natural collagen formation.
This exfoliation is combined with a technique called Epi-Infusion, where the wand delivers specific topical solutions to treat specific skin conditions -- applying the solutions under vacuum pressure as the exfoliation takes place. These specialized solutions can include Salicylic Acid for acne, Hyaluronic Acid containing Aloe Vera for dehydration and facial lines, and skin-brightening solutions for hyperpigmentation. A total of nine different topical treatment options is available.
Unlike some microdermabrasion procedures, the Dermasweep system doesn't use crystals that can become embedded in the skin and cause irritation. The procedure -- which takes approximately 30 minutes -- is painless; although there may be a mild tightening sensation (and a pinkish glow that lasts only about an additional 30 minutes), the skin will also feel cool and refreshed after treatment
Results are typically visible after only one treatment, but a course of four to six treatments may be advisable for more lasting and significant results. We can also recommend moisturizers, cleansers and other topical solutions that you can apply yourself that can help you to maintain the results of the treatment.
