Seborrheic Dermatitis
Seborrheic dermatitis presents with dryness and scaling of the face and scalp appearing like dandruff in the affected areas, and it is extremely common. It may be present at any time of life and has frequent recurrences. It is usually more annoying than symptomatic and can be treated with a variety of topical creams, solutions, foams, and shampoos. Studies indicate that it is related to a fungal organism on the skin. We cannot cure the condition, but the treatment usually does a good job controlling it.
