East Bay Laser Tattoo Removal - RevLite Laser
As we get older, our lives change. We become parents, discover new opportunities, enter the workforce. Unfortunately tattoos never change, and for many of us, there comes a time when we outgrow or begin to regret our tattoos. Fortunately, there are many solutions to safely and effectively remove your tattoos, including the very latest in laser tattoo removal - the RevLite laser by ConBio.
The RevLite is 60% more powerful than most other lasers and roughly twice as fast. Tattoos that normally take 10 to 12 treatments for removal can now be removed in just 6 to 8 treatments. RevLite clears all colors and treats all skin types, leaving no residual "ghost" images as with previous laser technology.
Laser Tattoo Removal with the New RevLite Laser
The RevLite™ represents the latest advancement in tattoo removal.
It's the first tattoo removal laser to offer multiple wavelengths to
choose from; meaning when you come to our center, we can use choose
the best wavelength that is absorbed by a specific color ink, thereby
customizing the treatment for each of your individual tattoos.
Additionally, the RevLite laser's pulse rate is dramatically faster, allowing for quicker treatments that are safer and less painful for the patient. The laser works by breaking the ink in your tattoo down into tiny particles, which are then gradually removed by the body’s natural filtering systems. With the addition of the RevLite tattoo removal laser into our Walnut Creek dermatology practice, we can now safely, comfortably and effectively clear stubborn tattoos in fewer treatment sessions.
Professional tattoos, on average, require six to eight or more treatments, while amateur tattoos require four or more sessions due to the different types of ink used. Treatments are usually spaced a few weeks apart, giving the body time to eliminate the ink particles and get ready for the next treatment.

With the use of the RevLite laser, you should expect to achieve
greater than 95 percent fading. The number of treatment sessions
you will need depends on the quality and depth of your tattoo
application, the type of ink used in your tattoo, the color used
and the length of time between each treatment. The longer you wait
between treatments the fewer treatment it will take. India ink
tattoos are the easiest to remove with laser treatments, and red and
black the easiest colors. Yellow, green and blue colors are a bit
harder to remove, and may require more treatments sessions.
The Procedure
Laser tattoo removal begins by applying a topical anesthetic.
Your tattoo is then treated with the appropriate laser wavelength depending on the tattoo color. During the procedure, your skin will turn white over the treated tattoo area, and you may experience some bleeding. After treatment, you will apply a special ointment
and the area will be bandaged. The skin usually heals within one
week while most of the ink that was broken into smaller fragments is
gradually absorbed by your body over the next 4-8 weeks. The tattoo
may continue to lighten for several months after a treatment.
